Liposuction is a plastic surgery procedure that eliminates fat in the treated area(s) by connecting a cannula (hollow tube) to a suctioning machine. The cannula is inserted through extremely small incisions.

Liposuction is also called lipoplasty, liposculpture, lipectomy or just lipo.
